Seeds – the packet is made from recycled paper and itself fully recyclable. We source our seeds from a UK supplier, and all the wildflower seeds are of native UK origin. We don’t buy them in from mainland Europe where the mixes are not entirely of British species. We only supply seeds that are of British wildflowers, and therefore suitable for our climate and insects.
Rainbow panpipe – these are little ceramic painted ocarinas shaped as panpipes, a great size for little hands. Each comes with string / pendant and is hand made in Peru and fairly traded. Children will need to place their thumbs over the two holes at the back to begin to make music! Size 5.5 x 5 cm – *not suitable for children under 3 due to the neck string.
Printing block – handmade and Fairtrade, these wooden printing blocks from Jaipur are a perfect size for little hands and creative minds. There are fusually 12 designs in total, one per bag. We love to make wrapping paper and handmade cards with ours.
Animal glasses – FREE while stocks last! Made from thick paper, these super fun animal masks can be coloured in and enjoyed by the children and when the time comes can be recycled with your paper and card collection. Unlike masks or party hats, there are no elasticated bands or staples – just 100% recyclable paper. A mix of six animals will be spread across the bags: tiger, elephant, parrot, giraffe, lion and a very cheeky alligator!
Eco Hero Card – Bright and fun card to keep that comes with a wordsearch game and fun tips to help kids become eco heroes.
Party bag – our newspaper bags are made by a charity whose main objective is to provide education and shelter to street children. This eco-friendly product is made from recycled Indian newspaper. The organisation was started in 2004 by street children who wanted to give something back in return for the opportunities which had allowed them to escape desperate circumstances. These elder children, now married with children of their own, generate an income by making newspaper bags and jute items. This allows them to take care of 13 street children that they have saved from the streets surrounding Delhi train station. Support for this wonderful project means that these children can enjoy going to school and playing, rather than pulling rickshaws, shoe polishing, rag picking and worse.
The newspapers are printed either in Indian language or English. As they are recycled newspapers, your bag may sometimes include a completed crossword!
