Something to plant, create and play with. The perfect plastic free party bag.
Seeds – the packet is made from recycled paper and itself fully recyclable. We source our seeds from a UK supplier, and all the wildflower seeds are of native UK origin. We don’t buy them in from mainland Europe where the mixes are not entirely of British species. We only supply seeds that are of British wildflowers, and therefore suitable for our climate and insects.
Bird whistle – handmade in Java Indonesia by hand, fairly traded from bamboo. Blow gently into the whistle moving the stick up and down to create a magical birdsong. Take it outside and see which birds you can start a conversation with. Please note some of the whistles come with a small CE sticker on and this is a legal requirement for some toys.
Printing block – handmade and Fairtrade, these wooden printing blocks from Jaipur are a perfect size for little hands and creative minds. There are up to 12 designs usually available, one per bag. We love to make wrapping paper and handmade cards with ours.
Paper glasses – FREE while stocks last! Made from thick paper, these super fun glasses can be coloured in and enjoyed by the children and when the time comes can be recycled with your paper and card collection. Unlike masks or party hats, there are no elasticated bands or staples – just 100% recyclable paper.
Eco Hero Card – Bright and fun card to keep that comes with a wordsearch game and fun tips to help kids become eco heroes.
Party bag – our newspaper bags are made by a charity whose main objective is to provide education and shelter to street children. This eco-friendly product is made from recycled Indian newspaper. The organisation was started in 2004 by street children who wanted to give something back in return for the opportunities which had allowed them to escape desperate circumstances. These elder children, now married with children of their own, generate an income by making newspaper bags and jute items. This allows them to take care of 13 street children that they have saved from the streets surrounding Delhi train station. Support for this wonderful project means that these children can enjoy going to school and playing, rather than pulling rickshaws, shoe polishing, rag picking and worse.
The newspapers are printed either in Indian language or English. As they are recycled newspapers, your bag may sometimes include a completed crossword!
